past chapter presidents

Soror Ethel Mae W. Rogers Grundy

The first PGCAC president, charter member, phenomenal businesswoman and educator, Soror Ethel Mae W. Rogers Grundy, believed in the long-distance magnificence of the current extraordinary chapter of 650+ women as far back as 1974.

Today, almost 35 years later, PGCAC celebrates the 14 accomplished past presidents, all powerful purposeful women of God, known for their grace, dignity and strength.  These amazingly gifted activists diligently continued to build on the previous accomplishments of their visionary predecessors, allowing PGCAC to indisputably affirm its current premier distinction of excellence in the state of Maryland

Constantly seeking ways to pay tribute to the leadership genius of these pioneering women, two chapter scholarships were developed.  The Ethel Mae W. Rogers Grundy Business Student Scholarship honors the chapter's first president and the Carolyn B. Cashwell Teacher's Scholarship honors the ninth president. The chapter continues to be blessed with the enthusiastic membership and priceless support and counsel of eight past presidents.
